DISCUSSION SESSION I : Understanding South Korea’s Soft Power
South Korea today has an unparalleled opportunity to expand its international influence in ways that would have been unimaginable just a generation ago This session will feature a discussion with practitioners and promoters of South Korea’s soft power as well as a journalist and other experts. Some of the key questions to be addressed include the origins, nature, and extent of South Korea’s soft power and whether there is still room to expand South Korea’s soft power—and, if so, how?
